This is the Foundation's governing and administrative body. Among other things it chooses the central theme of each year's La Marató telethon and approves the awards of grants to the most highly assessed biomedical research projects that are presented for consideration. Its members are:

This is a consultative and advisory body made up of representatives of the main scientific-medical institutions in the country. Among other responsibilities it makes a proposal to the Board for theme for the La Marató telethon, sets the conditions for the competition and the parameters for assessing the research projects, and is involved in the criteria for awarding the research grants.
