Virtu and Ramon want to have a child but can't. Virtu goes through a battery of tests, but it turns out that Ramon is the sterile one. Viru suggests adoption, but Ramon refuses; he wants a child of his own flesh and blood. Then Càndid, Ramon's long-lost father, is let out of jail. Càndid tries to make amends for having abandoned Ramon, but Virtu does'nt trust him an inch.
